execute a rich:effect after no validation error

I'd like to use an effect if  the validation is ok, but this way does not work for me:

      <rich:effect rendered="#{ empty facesContext.maximumSeverity}"  for="link" event="onclick" type="BlindUp" targetId="cqwe"  params="duration:0.5" />

how do you update it after validation?

I can solve the problem with oncomplete="if(#{ empty facesContext.maximumSeverity}) {myEffect();;}

How can I execute some reRendering after the effect is completed?

So, when the user click to a button, at first I'd like to execute an effect, then(the effect is ended) rerender an a4j:repeat component.
