1. Re: The jboss-hibernate.deployer directory missing in 4.0.3
tex123 Apr 19, 2006 4:47 AM (in response to tex123)I found hibernate3.deployer on page
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossHibernateSwitching
But I think that this file should be accessible from more "obvious" location. Can any one tell me primary download page for this file. -

rgmilton Apr 25, 2006 1:12 AM (in response to tex123)There is a note on page 77 of JBOSS AT Work which seems relevant. A core JAR file was left out of the JBoss 4.0.2 and Hibernate 3.0.2 releases.. The Apache Jakarta Commons Collections JAR needs to be downloaded separately and installed for Hibernate to work correctly. Visit the website (http://jakarta.apache.org/site/downloads/download_common_collections.cgi) and download version 2.1.1 of the JAR. Then copy it to one of the following directories:
$JBOSS_HOME/server/default/lig
$JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy/jboss-hibernate.deployer -

tapeshag Oct 31, 2006 2:52 PM (in response to tex123)I downloaded the attachment. It is confusing.
The jboss-hibernate.deployer should be a folder but it shows as a file.?? -

tapeshag Oct 31, 2006 3:38 PM (in response to tex123)Well I figured out the problem.
The zip contains the jboss-hibernate.deployer as a file.
Actually it is a tar-zip file again. I just renamed it to jboss-hibernate.deployer.gz and opened with winzip again. I got complete directory structure
It is confusing why author has done the zipped twice. -

jrc1983 Dec 30, 2006 3:16 PM (in response to tex123)Actually you shouldn't have to download anything at all. As of JBoss 4.0.2SP1, the hibernate libraries are stored in //server/default/lib/hibernate*.jar. So change your build.xml to reference that lib directory (instead of the non-existent directory it's currently referencing) or copy the jar over to your compile-lib directory.

dlwiii3 Nov 14, 2007 12:37 AM (in response to tex123)This was it, solved my problem while going through the examples of JBossAtWork. Just had to change the setting in common build.xml from:
<property name="hibernate.lib.dir" value="${env.JBOSS_HOME}/server/default/deploy/jboss-hibernate.deployer"/>
to:<property name="hibernate.lib.dir" value="${env.JBOSS_HOME}/server/default/lib"/>
That solved it, and I greatly appreciate the help. -

There are hibernate JARs already and I didn't have to copy these libraries to server/default/lib directory. Not sure if it is the right solution.
