Can anyone help to interpret this information from the JBoss MBeans? Are these two servers successfully joining a cluster?
Results from getNodes on the two servers are as follows:
server1: {6ffde098-477c-11df-a7be-00065bfd2945=localhost/127.0.0.1:5445}
server2: {9d3dd93a-47f5-11df-8362-00065bfd1c12=localhost/127.0.0.1:5445}
Results from getNodeID are as follows
server1: 9d3dd93a-47f5-11df-8362-00065bfd1c12
server2: 6ffde098-477c-11df-a7be-00065bfd2945
Thanks

localhost won't be accessible to remote nodes.
You need to change your config so the servers listen on a real IP address.
This is covered in the user manual.
Also have a search for getNodes, there have been a few other threads like this.
What's happened is that, since you didn't specify a host/ip address for the servers in the config, each server has just broadcasted localhost to the other node.
The other node has received that and tried to make a connection to localhost - which of course is itself! So you end up with each node making a cluster connection to itself, and no cluster forms.
