cant apply values using rich:calendar

hi.. i am using rich:calendar, it is mapped to a date property in controller class.. i am filtering data in scrollable data table, based on date value selected in calendar,

initally value is null n all data is displayed, n if i select a date n filter then data is filtered,

but now if i want to clear the date again to null n use CLEAN of calendar, it clrs the date, but as soon as i click submit, my last selected date pops up back again in the calendar input box, so i am not able to clear out  the date, i can change dates though but not again to null..

plz tell me how to reset date to null with some coding example if possible...

using below code doesnt work....

remove immediate=true from support and change event to onchanged

no no . its not working.. if i set immediate = false , then also not working.

on using immediate=true it clears the box, but last selected value pops up back again in the field on hitting submit button..

oh.... there was sum problem in the setter methods of the bean, i fixed the bug ..

now calendar working fine...

why you need that a4j:support inside the rich:calendar at all ??? there is nothing but reRendering the calendar...

As I understood you are implementing dataTable filtering by pressing another button or component, so you need the calendar only for date selecting, and no ajax related functional is implemented when you change the date from it...

So just remove that a4j:support from it, and try again (if I am not missing something...)
