Infuriating inline quoting

One feature I relied on all the time with the old forums was inline quoting of a previous reply.

This does not work, without an unreliable and hacky workaround (cut and paste everything), which often results in a complete mess of a reply. It's unworkable for me.

When is this feature going to get fixed? Like I say, I really rely on this, and not having it working properly in the new forums is a major problem for me,

I know this is a super annoying problem. It's driving me nuts everyday too. I've created a howto documenting my workaround, so that at least we can get work done in the interim.
