Tree node sequence at drag and drop issue

hi all,

i am developing drag  and drop tree.

when i drag one node and drop on to other parent's  node then it's added to to last.

can i sort nodes or add node to  first?

just rebuild the model properly in your drop listener. if you just adding node to some node children list - it would became last and it works as expected.

but how would i know at drop time that which 2 leaf nodes i am dropping the leaf node , and rebuilding is quit time consuming suppose i have 2000 records in my database then rebuilding might be very time consuming.

Actaully jquery and flex has finctionality to drop leaf node in between two nodes.

so i thought  that richfaces might have that functionality in future version.

Anyways i will try what u have suggested.

But if this would be usefull if not synchronized with server data? It would be lost anyway then when you leave a page or start new session.
