Docbook Chinese (or other multibyte language) support

Hi, I'm trying to build chinese user manual and quickstart documents for HornetQ.
The html version are fine but the PDF version failed. This is because currently the docbook
in HornetQ repo only support English languages. To support more language, the corresponding
fonts need to be added and configuration modified.

I can't add the fonts file because they are copyrighted. However, we can modify the configuration
to allow user who owns the fonts legally can build it by himself.

I followed some FOP document but failed to make the config correct. I guess either my changes is not
correct or the document is not for the right version of FOP.

Do you have any resource that can help this?

I believe there is a new docbook set of styles etc for jboss.org that we should probably upgrade to anyway. I assume it's got Chinese in there too.

I can't remember where this is though. It might be worth firing an email to core, someone should know.

iirc, the jboss.org team updated the docbook styles only for mvn-based documentation.

As long as we use ant, we're stuck with the old style (unless we backport it ourselves...)

From what I know there's a dedicated team for this kind of stuff http://community.jboss.org/en/pressgang/jboss_documentation_guide

They mention their IRC channel on that page. You might want to ping them.

One thing we have to be careful with - any fonts we use cannot be proprietary or we can't use them/redistribute them/put them in svn.
