    Trouble strarting jboss-eap-4.3.0.GA_CP06

Hello All, I am having trouble starting jboss-eap-4.3.0.GA_CP06. I am running zLinux with IBM jre/jdk and i have used ./run.sh and ./run.sh -C default with same results. The server stops at [Log4jService$URLWatchTimerTask] Configuring from URL: resource:jboss-log4j.xml.  Any advice appreciated.

*NOTE: after posting this I was able to start the server with ./run.sh -c minimal.  I am still confused as to why the optionless or default run will not start. I have attached the server.log from the ./run.sh -c default command that failed to start the server.

          Hi Dan,

start your server as root as a user and give the 777 permission to conf directory..pls post the fresh log for the server.

Just so that there is not a misunderstanding, running JBoss AS as 'root' is highly discouraged.

Also, I think that Jaikiran already answered Dan's query in another forum - the EAP version does not log to the console (at least, not past the bootstrap phase) so the message Dan pointed out is indeed the last message that appears on the console when starting EAP. It is, however, running, as can be verified by examining the attached server.log (look for the "started in xx seconds" message)
