    Features

      Hi people,

I've already read about the basic features of a ESB, but reading the documentation of JBossESB, I didn't find a entire list of them, just some session explain one and another.

So, I would like to get an entire list of the features. For example, talking about routing, how is it? We have basic routing of messages, routing content based and which more? Does we have one that routes based on quality of service of different endpoints that offer some service?

About rules, which are the options to work with rules?

About transformation, we have protocol transformation and message transformation. Is there another one?

About monitoring, I found all the information in the PDF related.

      Thanks in advance!

      Regards,

      Luiz

The MessageActionGuide should describe all the actions we support and the ProgrammersGuide should describe the transports/providers.

Could you explain further what you think is missing?

In answer to your explicit question, drools is used by ContentBasedRouter/Wiretap, BusinessRulesProcessor and MessageFilter.

You can also use XPath expressions for CBR too, via Drools.

              Hi Kevin,

I came across a reference to this "MessageActionGuide" in chapter 10 of "Message Transformation" of the Services Guide (PDF), but I am not able to find this guide.  I'm using JBossESB 4.8.  Can you point out where this is?  It's not in the docs folder of my dist which is where it was stated to be on the forums / discussion groups.  Does this guide still exist?  If not, where is the content now?

              Thanks,
