1. Re: Apache monitoring using SNMP
tall_male Jun 23, 2010 8:12 AM (in response to ssroy73)I had the same problem. For "licensing reason" the modules are not enclosed with Jopr, only with the commercial JBoss ON.
However, it is possible to use the SNMP modules from hyperic. Hyperic, in some way, is remarkable identical to Jopr....
Anyway: you wil have to compile the modules yourself. I made an article building the modules for Linux as described on http://community.jboss.org/wiki/MonitoringApacheusingSNMP.
I hope this is helpfull four you

2. Re: Apache monitoring using SNMP
ssroy73 Jun 23, 2010 8:25 AM (in response to tall_male)Thanks a lot Heiden.
I saw the article and this talks about building module in Linux.
But our apache server is installed on Windows.
As per the link I had shared and also from one of the link from Hyperic says that "The 2.0 module is provided in binary form for Windows and therefore no compilation is required". But I could not locate this in JOPR/Hyperic HQ Open source.
Please let me know if I am missing something.
Thanks a lot again for the input.
Best Regards,
Roy

4. Re: Apache monitoring using SNMP
ssroy73 Jun 23, 2010 9:30 AM (in response to tall_male)Apache module for Windows is also ".so"
But as per the link http://mc4j.org/confluence/display/JOPR2/Apache+2.x+SNMP+Config (Step 3), it mentioned different ".so" file names for Linux and Windows.
Windows
snmpcommon.so
snmpmonagt.so
Linux
libsnmpcommon.so
libsnmpmonagt.so
Thanks a lot.

Roy
