1. Re: rich:comboBox problem
akaine Jul 13, 2010 5:19 AM (in response to satyakatti)1. Put <a4j:keepAlive beanName="channelsBean" /> just after ui:composition line.
2. If the problem persists try to enclose the dataTable in rich:panel or something and rerender the last one instead of the dataTable itself. Though I'm almost sure that the problem will be solved after applying the first point.

satyakatti Jul 13, 2010 6:13 AM (in response to akaine)No, no.. the backing beans are anyway available as they are session scoped. Its only the UI that does not work.
I click on the down button of comboBox and the pulldown menu is not activated i.e the options do not appear.

3. Re: rich:comboBox problem
akaine Jul 13, 2010 7:46 AM (in response to satyakatti)A weird bugger... xD
What happens if you delete onsubmit/oncomplete popup?
I'm also kinda scared of using selectItem and selectItems both at the same time.
What happens if you take out the first selectItem and just leave the selectItems alone?
Btw, based on the fact that the combo is getting rendered correctly the first time, I could bet that if you rerender the whole form (or just the section that includes the combobox) the combo will maintain its items.

4. Re: rich:comboBox problem
satyakatti Jul 14, 2010 9:54 AM (in response to akaine)Can any body tell me whats wrong in the my code for combining rich:comboBox and rich:dataTable.
Whatever I do, the combo is enabled for only one time, after selecting value in combo and rendering dataTable if I want to change the value, the combo is not enabled... I mean the dropdown menu does not appear at all, even when I type, the suggestions are not shown.
I also tried by putting the combo inside dataTable at header location, that also failed to enable combo.
Removed f:selectItems and directly used suggestionValues attribute... failed.
The combo works only if i switch tabs and revisit the page or hit F5.
Any suggestion would be of great help.
Regards in advance,
Satya

satyakatti Jul 15, 2010 6:08 AM (in response to abelevich)I had already tried that, did not work.
I also tried putting combo in dataTable header column so that along with table even combo is rendered, that too didnt work.

abelevich Jul 15, 2010 9:04 AM (in response to satyakatti)1 of 1 people found this helpfulplease see here for details http://docs.jboss.org/richfaces/latest_3_3_X/en/devguide/html_single/#Neko. BTW ... I'm not sure but if I am not wrong just adding next to the web.xml will be enough to switch on neko filter
