As a possible alternative take a look at core bridges in HornetQ.

deanhiller2001 Jul 16, 2010 1:29 PM (in response to noelo)I thought about bridges but we have 4 clusters(3 sending and 1 receiving)....8 servers total so we would need to setup a bridge for each one....instead we just wrote our own client side persistence which is a bit annoying.
