nbelaevski Mar 31, 2009 2:27 PM (in response to waq)Hello,
What is bean scope? Is there any particular reason to add a4j:support to h:commandLink? -

No, absolultely not. The only thing i need to do is to pick the row which is clicked using particular link. But i need to update the datatable based on the value change of select list.
The scope of bean is request. -

waq Apr 3, 2009 3:44 AM (in response to waq)Thanks for the reply.
Now i've got another issue.
<h:column >
<f:facet name="header" >
<h:outputText value="Status" />
</f:facet>
<h:commandButton id="taskName" value="Approve">
<a4j:support event="onclick" action="#{Test.getCurrentRow}"></a4j:support>
</h:commandButton>
</h:column>
I need to navigate to another page when that button is pressed and show the values from the datatable to the next page.
I changed the action class as:public String getCurrentRow() { if(something...) { return "success"; }//end if else { return "failed"; } }
and also define a rule in faces.config but the page is not navigating to the next page.
Please help. -
9. Re: Unable to pick the selected row from Datatable
ilya_shaikovsky Apr 3, 2009 4:52 AM (in response to waq)The construction you defined causes two concurent requests to be fired. one from h:command - standard POSt and the second from support. Such usage is completelly wrong. In order to navigate as you need - just define only h:command and specify action there.
