Upgrading to 2.1.1 from 2.0.0

We attempted to do an upgrade from 2.0.0 to 2.1.1 using the existing data directory from 2.0.0 and got an error due to version differences in the journal file.

What is the recommended way to upgrade without throwing away messages which may still be sitting either in the journal or paging directories?

Can we just overlay the previous version or do we need to bridge the 2 versions?

Is there some kind of migration utility?

There was a change on the format between 2.0.0 and 2.1.0.

There's an export/import tool that will be released on 2.1.2. (It's on trunk). So that won't be an issue moving forward now.

Does this mean it will happen automatically, or that we need to explicitly run the tool?

So far we've been able to use the same data between minor versions without requiring the use of the Export/Import tool.
