How to change the default application deploy/update location ?

Hi,

I am trying to deploy my application in different location rather thna using the default location "$JBOSS_HOME/server/<$SERVER>/deploy". So I modified the "profile.xml" and "vfs.xml" under $JBOSS_HOME/server/<$SERVER>/conf/bootstrap/. Now when I directly put the ear into the location I want, Jboss automatically detect the application and deploy and shows as running in the console. But when I was trying deploy/update the same application from the console, it was always going to the JBOSS default location i;e "Deploy". So I want to change this as well, like while deploying from console it should also go to my choosed location. So can you pls suggest or guide me where to change and what to change?

Which version of JBoss AS?

Which console? There are three of them, giving the URL would help...

Hi,

I am using Jboss 5.0 EAP and for the admin console I am using as https://localhost:8080/admin-console. And inside the console under "Applications:EnterpriseApplications(EAR)s:", I selected my installed application and under the "content" tab, when I am trying to update the application, the application is getting installed under "deploy" directory of the server. So can I change this location to different location (my own location). So either the way I deploy/update the application from console or manually putting the application in, this required always to reflect into my own choosed location.

I tried to figure out, how and where to make the changes for changing the default applicaion deployment location but still failing. So can some one please guide me to do this.  - - Very much urgent. - -
