JSF2+RichFaces3.3.3 x gzip compression x Firebug

Hi,

I have a webapp with JSF2 + RichFaces 3.3.3 + GlassFish 3.0.1, with gzip compression enabled for "text/html,text/xml,text/plain,text/css,text/javascript,application/json" file types.

When I run this app with Firefox 3.5.10 + Firebug 1.5.4, Firebug claims for better performance if I reconfigure many files to enable gzip compression. But these files are into RichFaces jar files. Firebug claims for 70-75% reduction. For example, this is the output from Firebug, but I dont have any idea to optimize jar files from RichFaces...

Then, I inserted in my web.xml:

Is the param COMPRESS_SCRIPT the same that to enable gzip compression in GlassFish appserver?

No, this parameter enables compression via JavaScript minifier, not GZip compressor.
