Richfaces 3.3.3 comboBox not working in IE and Firefox

Hi everyone,

I have a form with Richfaces comboBox elements, and they are acting strange.

In Windows Firefox everything seems to work fine, after the form gets submited the bean that is bound via an EL expression

gets the comboBox value.

In Internet Explorer 8 and 7, as well as Firefox in Linux, the bean gets an empty value back.

I failed to find a similar entry about this in the forum, are anyone else having the same issue?

P.S. just my guess check please that you have no nested forms.

Thanks for the hint.

The issue does not have anything to do with nested forms, but it seems related to the Sitemesh decorator that is being used. If I disabled it, everything works.

So I guess something is getting included that breaks under IE and Firefox in Linux.

I'll need to research it better.

Hi,

I seems our CSS changes to Richfaces styles broke the comboBox Javascript code. I have created a Jira entry for it.

Apparently all CSS sizes have to be numeric, if styles like medium are given, the calculation ends up in NaN value, thus creating an Javascript error leading to a non functioning comboBox.
