Error while adding remote gadgets url

I am trying to add some remote gadgets to my portal. when i give the url of the gadget(url ends with .xml) i see an error like 'Data in the url "http://www.twittergadget.com/gadget.xml" is not valid. Can anyone tel me whats the issue with this?

You will get the error if the content of gadget xml file is not valid

Anyway, I'm still able to add the http://www.twittergadget.com/gadget.xml gadget without any error

I am using the latest GateIn version (3.1) and also get the error for "http://www.twittergadget.com/gadget.xml" and any other url. See:

Too strange, it still works for me.

Which GateIn binary distribution do you use ? and could you give the detail of your deployment environment ?

Maybe, you are mistake if you leave some space characters at the begin or end of Gadget url. Example: "http://www.twittergadget.com/gadget.xml "

Hi Thnx for your replies.

I was playing around with GateIn and other portals to see which one would best meet our requirements. My environent is JSE 6 (1.6.0_21) on XP Prof. I just used the 3.1.0.GA version bundled with JBoss. I will make now an other try to see if the space is the problem, but I don't think I added one by accident the last time.........

And of course it works now. I think the explanation would be the network environment I was connected to. Before I was in a company network with a proxy server which requires authentication and now I have a direct connection to the internet. So I think I should have a look at how to pass a proxy when using the gadgets.
