Question about Attributes in Richfaces DataScroller

Hi, I have a few questions on using the runtime attributes available in DataScroller -

1. The DataScroller web page http://www.jboss.org/file-access/default/members/jbossrichfaces/freezone/docs/devguide/en/html/datascroller.html
talks about various run time attributes available to us.

But I could not find any article on how to use it.
For eg, how do i access the following variables that datascroller doc defines in my JSF code. ?

pageIndex
pages
pageIndexVar
pagesVar

2. During Scrolling, I need to know the count of pages at any point of time. How can i Access it. ?
