1. Re: Filtering and extendedDataTable problems in RichFaces 4 Milestone 3
ilya_shaikovsky Oct 15, 2010 4:07 AM (in response to mettehummel)The filtering functionallity is very different from what it used to be.
Yes, as we switching major versions there are place for modifications without taking care about backward compatibility.
Please check richfaces-showcase from distribution in order to check how it could be used now. There are samples for dataTable but the same should be valid for EDT.
P.S, out of the box inputs - not implemented for now as we still planning to review the approach and maybe provide some more convenient customization.

2. Re: Filtering and extendedDataTable problems in RichFaces 4 Milestone 3
mettehummel Oct 15, 2010 7:21 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)I have checked the richfaces-showcase and that's why I'm trying to add the inputText in the header facet. But since I'm not able to navigate to the input text using the mouse there is no point to go on implementing the filtering functionality for the extendedDataTable. The users won't be able to add anything into the filter!

3. Re: Filtering and extendedDataTable problems in RichFaces 4 Milestone 3
tommy_bo Oct 22, 2010 9:07 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)When using the extendedDataTable there's a jquery script that add an event for mousedown for moving columns around, so navigating to the filter input is only possible by using the keyboard.
