Is Jboss Portal the same as Jboss App server (jboss-5.1.0.GA)?

I have Jboss App Server (jboss-5.1.0.GA) serving the Middleware tier. For developing portlet, do I need to install Jboss Portal separately from Jboss App Server in order to implement portal portlet?

If I have to install Jboss Portal, what version of Jboss Portal I need to download?

JBoss Portal has moved to a new project called GateIn, you can download there a version that embeds JBoss App Server 5.1.0.GA

If I were to go with Gatein version, that means I've to reconfigure my Jboss App Server and removed the old Jboss App Server. Is that correct?

Is there a new version of JBoss Portal that can be embedded into of JBoss 5.1.0.G.A?

No, JBoss Portal was embedding JBoss AS 4.2.3.

So to use Jboss Portal with JBoss 5.1.0.G.A., I have to use the Gatein version that you suggested.

Otherwise, I have to reverse JBoss from version 5.1.0.G.A. to AS 4.2.3.

Do I loose any major functionality if I were to go back to JBoss AS 4.2.3?
