Installing JBoss in Linux/Debian

Hi

I am trying to install JBoss-5.1.0-GA-jdk6 in my Debian machine. But It is giving some error.

I am atteching two log file which will give clear idea about error.

I wrote one line in run.sh

export JBOSS_HOME=/path/NEW/jboss-5.1.0.GA

Because same was running perfactly in Windows system after setting the jboss home variable.

It is also giving error that unknown host server01?

Please help me to resolve this problem.

I removed the line export ........

and just wrote JBOSS_HOME=/path/NEW/jboss-5.1.0.GA

again here is same problem.

setting of JBOSS_HOME is not necessary.

your problem looks like a collision with another JBOss instance or other program.

In the server.log I found a line 'Port 8083 already in use'.

Are you sure no other JBoss instance is running?

I restarted the system and the problem of bindException was resolved.

But I am getting the new exceptions.

I am attaching a new log files.

Please help me to resolve this.

Also look at the first ERROR message in the log file, and follow the 'caused by' links - the last 'caused by' willtell you what the problem is:

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.jboss.seam.transaction.EjbSynchronizations

Looks like a Seam JAR file is missing.
