Showing a dialog box when selecting a leaf in a tree?

Is this possible? I want to display a modal window when the user selects a tree node that is a leaf, how can I do that?

3.3.x or 4.x?

if 3.3.x - check http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/tree.jsf?tab=dnd&cid=257236 there part of the page updated with images if folder node selected. The same could be done using modal panel.

Yes, is an old webapp where we are still using 3.3.x... I'll have a look...
