rich:scrollableDataTable and rich:dropDownMenu issues

I am currently having two big problems using the rich:scrollableDataTable.

1. I would like my columns to allow the words to wrap if there isn't enough space. Right now it is pushing the column out of alignment with its heading and pushing subsequent column out of alignment as well. Is this possible and if so how?

2. I have a rich:dropDownMenu and the drop down contents extend extend beyond the top of a rich:scrollableDataTable further down on the page. The drop down appears to go behind the scrollableDataTable. How could this be resolved?

The weird thing is when I go over to firefox and change white-space: wrap to white-space: normal using firebug it works .. but I need to somehow override .dr-sdt-cbody css class. Is there a way to only effect white-space element without messing with the rest of the css class?
