Could I use 6.0.0.CR1 as an open source system's server?

As my title.. The reason why I am wanting to use version 6.0 is that I found this bug in version 5.1.0 https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBAS-7210. So if anyone is kind enough to help me build a 5.1.0 version with this patch included, that will be much appreciated.

I'm not really sure what the question is. Are you asking whether you can use JBoss AS 6.0.0.CR1? If that's the question, then yes you can definitely use it.

If you are asking how to patch AS 5.1.0 with that bug fix, then you will have to follow the steps mentioned here http://community.jboss.org/message/543957#543957

I noticed in one of your other thread that you are new to building JBoss AS from source. If that's the case, then I would strongly recommend that you use the latest 6.0.0.CR1 release (or if you wait one more month, then there will be 6.0.0 Final).

Could you confirm if 6.0.0.CR1 does not have the jar conflict issue any more? I just do not want to experence this like in 5.1.0 any more .

The bug has been marked as fixed in 6.0.0.M2 https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBAS-7210. So it means that the fix is available in 6.0.0.CR1. Other than that I have personally never tried reproducing that problem in AS6. You'll have to give it a try yourself with your application.
