1. Re: HornetQ and High Capacity Email
gaohoward Dec 6, 2010 3:28 AM (in response to jabailo)Hi,
HornetQ is a high-performance messaging system. It's not a email server. However you may use it as a messaging engine inside you email server.
So it doesn't handle email specific messages directly. HornetQ uses a journal system to persist data and there is a API for client to parse the data in it.
For other jboss technologies, you may consult the document of jboss.

robertjlee Dec 6, 2010 4:44 AM (in response to jabailo)HornetQ doesn't do email directly.
You probably want to look at the JBoss application server, specifically JavaMail (http://community.jboss.org/wiki/JavaMail).

jabailo Dec 9, 2010 3:03 PM (in response to robertjlee)What I'm doing now is running an external postfix openSuse mail server.
So I could hook this up to the JBoss javamail. But what I'm wondering is how robust is the JBoss javamail server?
And does it provide any type of logging, tracking to make sure and record that emails get "out the door"?
And can it handle high volume?
