Newbie: Differences between Seam and RichFaces

Hi @ all,

I'm looking for a framework to create a RIA. For testting and get experience I'll implement a little issue tracking system with JavaEE6. I have some experience with JBOSS5b (only with SOA Websericves and EJB's). I see here in Forum two Frameworks. RichFaces and Seam.

With both of them I can create RIA or I'm wrong?. So If I'm right what are the driifrences between this frameworks and what for decision aids have you for me? And for which use cases are the frameworks though ?

Hi,

RichFaces is a UI framework & components library built over JavaServer Faces (JSF). Seam is a framework that greatly enhances developer productivity on all tiers bringing set of UI components, extended scopes including conversations, transactions management and many more features (refer to the documentation). Also Seam is not limited to RichFaces/JSF, you can use Wicket or another JSF component library.

thanks for the informations. So it's look that Seanm is what I'm looking for.  So if I'm started with my testing I'll open sure a new Thread in this forum .
