How to apply style to h:outputtext from backingbean

I am facing a problem with h:outputtext. I have defined a width of 150px and with some background color. But it renders only based on the value.

My requirement is, I want that text to be displayed with width of 150px always irrespective of its value.

can any one help?

HtmlOuputText provides setStyle method. If you are using UIOuput, cast that to HtmlOutputText
