infinispan filesystem?

Hi!

My question is if infinispan would be useful as filesystem on JBoss server. Files can be big (for example 2GB) and must be divided into small parts. Every user who reads a file will get another instance of it.

Have a look at Infinispan grid file system [1] demo included in 4.2 distro.

They would get 4 instances of a stream but the content is going to be the same. Is that your concern?
I believe there is a write/read locking implemented but I did not check :-)

Yes. My filesystem must allow parallel readers.

I think that is given. Give it a try and see how well it fits your needs! However, keep in mind that it is a proof-of-concept and not a full-fledged supported product on top of Infinispan. Let us know your experience.
