2. Re: HornetQ through a proxy server
clebert.suconic Nov 9, 2010 1:06 PM (in response to clebert.suconic)You could have a local server, configured bridges, and have the local clients talking to a local server, and that server doing the bridge to the main server.
You can configure stuff manually for that, however we have a feature request for "peer mode". your proxy would be a local server. It's no exactly what you asked thought.

jeremystone Nov 10, 2010 4:29 AM (in response to clebert.suconic)Thanks, Clebert.
I think what we probably need to do, then, is to implement our own version of the netty HttpTunnelingClientSocketChannel that includes an extra handler in the http pipeline to do the HTTP CONNECT, and subclass your NettyConnector to use it (along with a new factory implementations for the plumbing).

there's a JIRA open: https://jira.jboss.org/browse/HORNETQ-68

5. Re: HornetQ through a proxy server
jeremystone Dec 22, 2010 12:23 PM (in response to clebert.suconic)We now have a working HttpProxyAwareNettyConnectorFactory and HttpProxyAwareNettyConnector which allow connection through optionally authenticated HTTP proxy servers using ssl via HTTP CONNECT.
I shall remove any dependencies on our code and forward you the classes in the New Year.
The code uses new netty based http proxy channel classes which we have developed. I'm not sure whether these should be contributed to the netty project, but I'll post them all here and you can decide what you want to do with them.
