How ro reRender different rich:scrollableDataTable onchange of value?

Hi

I am trying to develop a page in which on change of value of a drop down value ,I want to show different tables.

What I am doing is on I have added a4j:support on h:selectOneMenu and on event onChange in the controller I am setting some boolean variables which I am using as a value to the rendered attribute of the tables.I have also tries keeping the table under rich:panel and rendered the panel but nothing seems to work.

The problem is  when the page appears ,it has two table the previous one and the new one and on using the browser refresh the previous table disapperas giving me my desired page.Can anyone throw some light on what I am doing wrong and why?

From looking at the facelet I can tell that you don't need reRender attribute in your a4j:support cause stuff you want to re render is in a4j:outputPanel which will be updated on each ajax request.

Please post the entire class cause this piece of code is insufficient for the diagnosis. My bet is you have both flags on at component creation. Do you use any additional framework or just pure JSF?

"Both flags on at component Creation."Do you mean to say that I have initialized the variables to true.Then I have not initialized it to true.

If you see ,

lFlag = false;

druckDoc = false;

initially.

Now when I change the dropdown the a4j:support calls the method

dropDownChange() setting one of  the flags to true and the other to false.

My guess is at the Java end nothing is wrong as I have debugged that part.I am using JSf+Richfaces thats it.

In Index Action only this much is relevent code wrt to my problem.

Please do let me let me know if this sufficient info or something else you want me to specify.

Please, try to specify process="tables" attribute for your a4j:support.

Nope,Problem still persists.

I have to refresh from the browser to get the correct/desired page.

1) put rich:messages on your page

2) Try the same but in a simpler manner( may be you have too many components on you page and too much code in the bean to find out where your problem is). Because it definitely should work.
