If it won't match to your requirements I suppose you should write your own convertor/validator.

yes I can, but once I change into correct value, arise error like this
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch
I put <rich:message for="gradePoint" /> under the panel
2. gradePoint is Double.

ilya40umov Jan 18, 2011 1:49 AM (in response to sars)You should have <rich:message for="gradePoint"/> on your page. It will be updated automatically with every ajax request. If you want to use h:message you should reRender h:message element by yourself. (In a case of full page submit both work in the same way)
