6. Debian AMD64 Eclipse JBoss
lecogiteur Jan 23, 2011 3:05 PM (in response to lecogiteur)Ok It's worked. The JBoss server is started with a JDK 1.4 on amd64
I just install the JBoss Tool for Eclipse and create a new server JBoss (i select server type "JBoss AS 4.0" in directory "JBoss Communty" and not in directory "JBoss").
I don't know the difference between the plugin server of Eclipse and JBoss plugin but now the server is started with a JDK 1.4.
If someone knows why, i'm interested.
thanks very much for your help.

7. Debian AMD64 Eclipse JBoss
nickarls Jan 23, 2011 3:26 PM (in response to lecogiteur)Startup problems are best examined from the command line first and not from Eclipse. Then you just go
while (errors in log)
{
google for error
fix error
restart
}

8. Debian AMD64 Eclipse JBoss
lecogiteur Jan 23, 2011 5:31 PM (in response to lecogiteur)Ok Nicklas thanks for the method.
I find the problem why i have this error "java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable". the probem come from the configuration of the JVM. In order to resolve it, I must add a parameter:
-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
By default on Debian IPv6 is activated.
Now I can create a JBoss server with the Eclipse plugin. And there is no error now !

9. Debian AMD64 Eclipse JBoss
nickarls Jan 24, 2011 1:18 AM (in response to lecogiteur)Ah, yes, that was going to be my next guess. We recently had a longish network-related startup thread here that also was because of IPv6...
