Refresh of the page, resends the last action.

Hi,

I have a grid which holds the data retrieved from the database. the last column of this grid is the delete function to delete that particular record.

Now the scnario is, I delete one record, and do a refresh(F5 OR mouse rt click refresh), this action resends/resubmits the last action information and thus deletes one more record.

My question is, how do we avoid the resubmission in such a situation.

Please suggest some ideas for this. Thanks.

Hi Harish,

Refreshing page just after POST request causes it to be resent (BTW, browser should warn you about that). To resolve this, make navigation rule do a redirect to the original page.

As a workaround you can pass an ID of the selected entity with a4j:actionparam and hence if won't work at the second time cause the entity doesn't exist any more.

We got this resolved.

I just replaced the delete component from <h:commandButton> to <a4j:commandButton>.
