2. Re: URL handler on jboss 6
nickarls Jan 25, 2011 8:04 AM (in response to nickarls)Hmm, nevermind. It apparently recognizes it enough to know what's supported and what not. But a bit strange since I would think that should never had worked since they protocols are in the JRE.

3. Re: URL handler on jboss 6
vladoseprak Jan 25, 2011 8:53 AM (in response to nickarls)It worked. I have doublechecked with fresh installation of 4.2.3. The difference is that connection obtained on Jboss 6 is of type org.jboss.vfs.protocol.FileURLConnection (getOutputStream throws exception by default) and on Jboss 4.2.3 is org.jboss.net.protocol.file.FileURLConnection and this one has getOutputStream method implemented. Now the question is how to make
this work on jboss 6.

6. URL handler on jboss 6
vladoseprak Jan 25, 2011 9:21 AM (in response to nickarls)Url is created with new URL(null, filePath). In mentioned discussion they use JBoss specific classes (org.jboss.net.protocol.URLStreamHandlerFactory). I would like to avoid that. It seems that I should implement my own file: protocol handler instead of using default from jboss.

7. URL handler on jboss 6
nickarls Jan 26, 2011 2:59 AM (in response to vladoseprak)That would probably be the most compatible solution, yes. I guess the JBoss implementations can be good examples.
