Two portal containers share the same JCR datasource

I defined a new portal container so I could use my own URL context /myportal, and I defined my IDM and JCR datasources with the appropriate JNDI named gatein-jcr_myportal and gatein-idm_myportal. I'm sharing the IDM database of /myportal with the /portal container and that is working fine.

My question is: Can my new portal container /myportal share the exact same database tables for the JCR that the /portal container uses? Or does that cause issues somewhere behind-the-scenes?

BTW - I stand corrected. I can NOT share the IDM datasource between portal containers either. So now I'm thinking it is not possible for two containers to share the same IDM datasource OR the same JCR datasource.
