Flash content hiding modes(view, edit) of a portlet

While trying to acces different modes(View, Edit) of a portlet in IE 8.0, the menu displayng the modes is not shown.

I have got  flash content in the above mentioned portlet. Is that the reason why its not getting displayed?

I hav got a hunch that the menu is getting displayed but its getting hidden by the flash content on the portlet. Could anyone provide a possible solution

for this problem?

The portlet window is displayed using stylesheets. Have you tried changing the z-index of the appropriate style class? Specifically, look for the classes named .PortletIcon, .WindowPortletIcon, .NovaPortletIcon, and WindowPortletInfo and try giving them a high z-index value.

Need to set wmode to opaque on embed tag and object tag (for example google chrome needs it on the object tag) that you use to embed your flash swf
