why addChild() requires a unique child identifier while setParent() does not?

I mean, can I construct a tree using only setParent() instead of addChild()?

Hi Leo,

You can omit addChild(...) methods safely in your implementation, however you will need to implement access methods for children properly - otherwise tree component won't be able to render them.
