1. Re: filterby event
jrboss Jun 10, 2009 12:14 PM (in response to jrboss)filterEvent="onKeyUp" except the tab key??
I found this
http://bytes.com/groups/javascript/94123-modifying-onkeyup-event-ignore-tab-keypress
but I am not sure how to apply it to the filterEvent.
Any help would be appreciated. -

jrboss Jun 11, 2009 2:35 PM (in response to jrboss)Thank you very much for your reply.
Im sorry I am not seeing how this helps me. I already define a filter method. But this is not my problem. I am using an extendedDataTable because I need the scrolling feature and the filtering feature. I need to avoid re-rendering the table when a user is tabbing through the and only re-render when the user enters some text into a filter. -
