ilya_shaikovsky May 29, 2009 5:47 PM (in response to meghiddo)Talking about google map we need to say that this components was done by just wrapping the gmap widget to the JSF component without any addition of component attributes/child tags for deep customization. We provides gmapVar attribute which allow you to define the variable name for this component JS object and then use the gmap API on your own. Maybe in future we could review this way.. but currently you should use JS API.

Thanks, I looked at that link. It seems that might not work for what Im doing. I need a new attribute added to gmap I think. Something like markerLat and markerLng, which I could set to a java bean.
Something like
rich:gmap markerLat="#{bean.getLat}" markerLng="#{bean.getLng}"
I have seen where users can vote for different features on the wiki. Would I be able to submit my own suggestion or are users only allowed to vote? -
