resetting skinBean properties

Hello,
I want to allow users to change a CUSTOM.skin.properties file.
But until restart the application will not reload the properties. Therefore would like to set the properties in the richSkin application scoped bean.
And reload the stylesheets.
It is their personal site. I want the changes to be applied on application level.
Is this possible?
The SkinBean is an abstract map. So I cannot reset properties there.

you could just create custom.skin.properties file and define properties inside with EL-expressions instead of just constant values.
