Question related to 5.0.0 and https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-833

I see this planned to be resolved in 5.0.0.FINAL. Checking the code, 5.0.0.ALPHA2's HotRodDecoder.getCache is still checking for a pre-defined cache and throwing CacheNotFoundException otherwise.

Pre-defining the caches in a configuration file is not really an option for us, so I would like to find out if the HotRod server will support creating caches on demand in 5.0.0

We are evaluating various distributed caching technologies, and this is an important requirement for us (as well as supporting eventing to HotRod clients, which unfortunately for us, seems to be scheduled for 5.1.0). Thanks

Well clearly, the issue is not resolved yet, so the pre-definition of caches is still required. In order to lift up the limitation, https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-658 needs to be resolved. We plan to do it in the 5.0.0 timeframe.
