The problem is in jboss-logmanager.jar and it's fixed (hopefully) in that project: https://github.com/dmlloyd/jboss-logmanager/commit/36f6800a5b209ba816d607a941b88e41264d935f

Re: periodic-rotating-file-handler rotate at 12PM instead 12AMwhile_true Jun 28, 2012 11:05 AM (in response to welle)Hey Anders, I've also a problem with the use of the "periodic-rotating-file-handler". Supposedly, every day that passes, and JBoss is started, the file should be created right? Well, that isn't happening. Is it possible for you to tell me what am I doing wrong? In attachment is my jboss-logging.xml file. Grateful for your attention. Best regards, António PS: Apparently, JBoss does actually create the new file as soon as the day changes. What it does not create is a new file everytime you start JBoss, by hand, each new day. Does anyone know how to accomplish that?
