Deploy jBPM5 engine to an existing app server

Hi,

We have a web application deployed to JBoss server ( an ear and a war ), we would like to deploy jBPM5 engine to the same app server, what we need are the jBPM BPM engine and the web based editor, what files that I need to deploye to the app server and are there any steps that I should follow?

never mind, I copied both designer.war and drools-guvnor.war to the deploy folder of jboss, and it seems working.

But I do have one question, how does Human.Task into play? huamn.task seems a java standalone application, if I need the BPM engine, do I need human.task as well? if yes, how does the BPM engine talk to human.task?

Actually my real goal is to use BPM engine as a library in my web app, and use the web editor to deisgne the workflow.

Can anyone tell me except to include the jar file in my project, what else that I need to know to make this work?

Do you know about maven? I have a post that explains how to set up your project to use jBPM5 and the dependencies that you need to add.

For humant ask you have several options. You can start the human task service and when your application starts you need to do some small configurations in order to communicate your business process with the human task service.

Check the following examples to know how to setup your webapp to use the jbpm5 dependencies.

You will only need to change the type (<packaging>) of the project to war.
