General a4j question

Hi everyone,

I have 2 questions please :

1. I just want to know if there are any limitations on using ajax in my page, i.e.: can I use it for all requests ? or there are some limitations ?

2.is there a size limitation on the response of ajax, i.e: ... can I populate for example a rich:dataTable data using ajax ?

I think that you should check out the following links:

But basically I mean that a4j is not intended to help you in making your app on the one page. If it's possible try to split pages and use standart navigation beween them.

I understand ... so we should not depend on ajax for navigation.. I see

another question..

But, if I have lets say for example ... 3 combo-boxes ... and 2 rich:dataTable in the same page, can I depend always on Ajax or no ?

If the rich:dataTable will have many data(rows) can I depend on ajax to bring the values ? or there is a size limitation?

Basically it should work. I guess that your dataTables will have some pagination so their size will be limited.

So that I think that it will mostly depend on browser/server hardware/users count limitations.
