how to stop a ongoing Ajax request

Hi,

    Is there any way to stop a ajax request after firing. Means onclick of the button or link or some action am sending an ajax request, and I want to stop that request on esc key pressing.

    Is my requirement weird OR it is possible? Please show a way to solve this.

As ar as I understand as soon as postbackrequest/ajax request is issued, you want to stop the request immediately.

Most of the browsers support shortcut key "Esc" to stop the loading the page example- I.E, Firefox. Use the browser inbuilt feature shortcut key.

Look out in your browser Goto View > Stop (Esc)
