About your questions:
1) You can use the task client to add new users and groups to the identity component.
2) You can assign users and groups in the process defintion or at runtime claiming the tasks
3) Using the task client you will have all the functionality that you need to interact and query tasks
4)in jBPm5 you have a specific work item handler that will be in chargeof creating human tasks inside the task server when the process hits ahuman task activity in your business process.
I'm working to finish a jBPM5 community training, the next module will be about Human Tasks, so stay tuned:
PS:if you are located in Buenos Aires, I will be talking about BPM, jBPM5and Drools in the Java User Group Argentina meetings -> http://www.jugargentina.com.ar
