Disable sorting for extendable datatable

Hi,

I am using rich:extendabledatatable but need to disable column sorting. ...

sortable = false is not working.

Could anybody suggest is there any other way to do this.

Are you using RF 3 or RF4?

sortable true/false affects only scrollableTable and will not be present in RF 4.

Tables makes decision if you want to turn on sorting if you just added sortBy. So if it's present - sorting is on. If you want sorting to be there but activated from external controls and not just by header onclick use selfSorted=false;

Hi All,

I need to disable the funtionality of sorting. when mouseover on header it will display the sorting popup with Sort Ascending,Sort Descending and column selection. I need to disable this popup.

Any suggestions.

unfortunatelly menu not really customizable in that way.. it's community-contributed component and we had not enough time prior to 3.3.3.Final to implment all the customizations requested. So now that menus will be rendered anyway but disabled. If it's vital from application requirements point of view - you will need to patch the component implementing such conditional rendering.
