One thing to be aware of is that it is a modified version of Tomcat that appears in JBoss AS.

2. Re: What Tomcat version is used by JBoss 4.0.5?
mreasy Mar 14, 2011 10:19 AM (in response to peterj)JBoss-web is a modified version, yes. But not the thirdparty libraries which are referenced and to which servlets-webdav.jar belongs.
At least it is not stated anywhere that the 3rd-party libs were modified in any way and if they were, then where is the source?

3. Re: What Tomcat version is used by JBoss 4.0.5?
peterj Mar 14, 2011 11:39 AM (in response to mreasy)From what i recall, grab the source for JBoss AS. Build it (go to the build directory and run the build.sh or build.bat script). Then look in the thirdparty directory for the JAR - there will be a source JAR there also, unpack that.

4. Re: What Tomcat version is used by JBoss 4.0.5?
mreasy Mar 15, 2011 5:47 AM (in response to peterj)Unfortunately not. The thirdparty JARs are only copied to the output directory. Which is understandable of course, since they are used 'as-is' and no need to provide any source.
If however the version which is documented to be used does not match the actual JAR-file, like it is for at least the one I mentioned, then you're stuck.

5. Re: What Tomcat version is used by JBoss 4.0.5?
peterj Mar 15, 2011 10:48 AM (in response to mreasy)I guess my memory ain't what it used to be; it's been a while since I worked with or built 4.0.5. I know that what I mentioned works for 5.1.0 (there is a thirdparty/jboss/web/jbossweb-sources.jar file). Perhaps someone from the JBoss team will let you know were the webdav source are for 4.0.5 (they must be in a source code repository somewhere).
