JBoss AS 6.1 to be released tomorrow?

I noticed JBoss AS 6.1 is still slated for a release tomorrow, but there are currently still 41 open issues among which one critical (https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBAS/fixforversion/12315870).

Is still release still going to happen tomorrow, or will the date be pushed back?

As you figured out yourself, unfortunately it's not gonna come out tomorrow.

A bit more work is needed, hence any helping hand is welcome.

The JBoss AS 6.1.0 Executive Summary was updated with the status of the release.   Further updates will continue to be posted there.  I'll send a note to the jboss-dev email list as well.  As Ales notes above,  help from the community is needed to move this forward as the core team currently doing double duty with AS 6 and AS 7.

Of course some concrete patches would speed things a lot faster. :-)

Or exact bug reason(s) + test(s) to reproduce.

Ok One thing I did do recently is testing a patch that was supplied by a community user here: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/HORNETQ-496

I'm not sure with which version of HornetQ JBoss AS 6.1 is going to be shipped though. I applied the patch attached to the issue, and after a few days of testing it appears to work just fine.

As for this specific patch, getting it applied to HornetQ codebase would require bringing it up in the HornetQ forums. From some of the threads in the HornetQ forum, I've been seeing that they plan to release sometime soon. Once that is done, I guess upgrading HornetQ in AS 6.1 won't be a big deal (infact, there's a major bug in the current integrated version of JBoss AS for which we do need a release from HornetQ).
